Parker Whidby

Parker Whidby currently serves as the Senior Social Media Manager at Norfolk Southern, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Parker was the Social Media Manager for the Georgia Department of Economic Development from September 2015 to February 2023, where responsibilities included developing and leading the social media and content strategy for Explore Georgia, which became one of the top state tourism offices in the United States. Earlier experience includes roles as a Digital Content Specialist at Explore Georgia, Marketing and Membership Coordinator at the Georgia Cable Association, and Legislative Assistant at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Additional experience includes freelance work at Truffle PR and an internship at Jori White PR. Parker Whidby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a Minor in Management from Auburn University.
