Rodney West

Rodney West is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software engineering and strategic management. Currently serving as Sr Director of Software Engineering at Norfolk Southern since 2003, Rodney oversees the development and operation of core mission-critical transportation systems, focusing on systems engineering, architecture, resiliency, and security. Previous roles at Norfolk Southern include Director of the Corporate Transformation Program Office and Director of Information Systems Development, where Rodney led initiatives to standardize project reporting and introduced advanced storage systems. Rodney's earlier career includes positions at KPMG LLP as a Senior Manager, CSC as Chief Engineer, and various engineering roles supporting NASA and the U.S. Air Force. Rodney holds advanced degrees from the University of Colorado and The Citadel, complemented by executive education from Northwestern University and the University of Virginia.
