Emilia Garcia-Appendini is an accomplished academic and economist currently serving as an Associate Professor of Finance at the School of Finance (SOF-HSG) Universität St.Gallen since August 2024. In addition, Emilia holds the position of Senior Research Economist at Norges Bank from February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Zurich from September 2017 to July 2024 and as an Assistant Professor at the University of St.Gallen from August 2012 to August 2017. Emilia began academic work as an Assistant Professor at Bocconi University from August 2006 to August 2012. Emilia earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics and Finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra between 2001 and 2007.
