Ramya Devanand has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, starting from their role as a Consultant at Cognizant Technology Solutions in 2003. Ramya then worked as an Engagement Manager at marketRx, a Cognizant Company, where they focused on pharmaceutical consulting and market research. Ramya then joined Pfizer in 2010, where they held various leadership positions, including the role of Director of Business Operations/Chief of Staff. Ramya was responsible for strategic and operational planning, organizational re-design, financial management, and business development.

In 2015, Ramya moved to Monitor, where they worked in Pricing and Tariff calculation. Ramya then joined Roche in 2016 as the Customer Insights and Information Strategy Lead. Following their time at Roche, Ramya joined GSK in 2018, initially as the Global Customer Insight Director for Respiratory Early Pipeline, and then as the Global Strategic Insight Director for Specialty and Rare Disease Early Pipeline Assets. At GSK, they focused on asset development, market research, commercial evaluations, and business cases.

In 2022, Ramya joined Mereo BioPharma as a Senior Director in Business and Corporate Development. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Commercial Evaluation, Business and Corporate Development at Norgine since 2023.

Ramya Devanand obtained a Joint Degree: Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Marketing and Finance from London Business School and Indian School of Business in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Bharathiar University from 1999 to 2003. Ramya also attended New Indian Model School Dubai from 1985 to 1997, but no specific degree or field of study is provided. In 2021, they earned certification in The Pharma Licensing Negotiation Course (2-day course) from CELforPharma with Dr. Roger Cox.
