Dan Conrad is the Chief Executive Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) and represents the company on the national Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Board of Directors.
He began his BCBS career July 2013 as chief legal officer, applying his legal expertise to business strategies and directing the organization’s compliance risks. Immediately preceding his role as CEO, Conrad served as executive vice president, overseeing the Communications, Compliance, Marketing, Information Technology, Public Affairs, and Security teams.
Before joining BCBSND, Conrad served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Justice Department and as in-house counsel at two large public companies.
An active community member and North Dakota native, Conrad serves on the boards of directors for Make-A-Wish North Dakota and BCBSND Caring Foundation.
He’s an alumnus of Minnesota State University Moorhead where he earned a political science degree and of the University of North Dakota where he earned a law degree.
