Dave Owings

Dave Owings has extensive experience in information technology and public service. Currently serving as the Manager of IT Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota since September 1996, Dave also holds roles as Information Technology Team Lead and Data Storage Administrator, with expertise in SAN administration and Microsoft Database Administration. From January 2011 to January 2023, Dave represented the citizens of Glyndon MN as a Councilman. Earlier in their career, Dave taught desktop hardware and troubleshooting at Minnesota State Community and Technical College - Moorhead and worked as a photographer and lab technician at various photography businesses. Dave earned an AAS in Micro Computer Support and Network Administration from Northwest Technical College, graduating in 1997.
