Ivar Eriksen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ivar most recently served as a Security Architect at NORKART AS since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Cyber Security Engineer at Bane NOR from February 2018 to September 2022. Earlier in their career, Ivar was a Telecommunications Technician at Relacom from February 2005 to April 2011, where they focused on planning and installing cable TV networks, servicing reverse vending machines, and working on computer network cabling. Ivar began their career as an Apprentice Telecommunications Technician at Bravida from August 2001 to March 2004. Ivar's work experiences have provided him with a strong background in telecommunications, security, and systems architecture.
Ivar Eriksen completed their education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2011 to 2017, where they pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering Cybernetics. Prior to that, they attended the University of Stavanger in 2010 and 2011, undertaking a Preliminary Course for Engineers. In 2009 and 2010, they studied at Fagskolen i Vestfold, specializing in EKOM Installatør (KIA/TIA).
In addition to their educational background, Ivar Eriksen has obtained several certifications. In November 2013, they acquired an Amateur Radio Licence from the Nasjonal kommunikasjonsmyndighet (Nkom). In March 2021, they completed the GIAC Advisory Board certification from GIAC Certifications. Furthermore, they obtained the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in March 2021. Additionally, in March 2022, they achieved the RIPE Database Associate certification from RIPE NCC. Ivar also received the IPv6 Fundamentals - Analyst certification in January 2022 and the IPv6 Security Expert certification in February 2022, both from RIPE NCC.
