Ben Alexander has a wide range of experience in the retail industry, starting in 2007 as a Trainee Assistant Buyer at Debenhams. Ben then progressed through various roles at Debenhams, including Buyer, Senior Buyer, and Buying Manager, focusing on menswear and international brands. In 2019, they joined Jack Wills as the Head of Buying for Womenswear and Menswear. Following this, Ben moved to George at Asda, where they held the positions of Head of Buying and Design for Mens Clothing and Schoolwear, and later became the Head of Menswear for Clothing, Essentials, Footwear, and Accessories with sole P&L accountability for the global Menswear business unit. Currently, they work as the Head of Business for UK & Europe at Norlanka, responsible for ambitiously growing the business and leading the product development and design functions.
Ben Alexander attended Dr Challoner's Grammar School from 1997 to 2005. Ben then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Studies at Loughborough University from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ben obtained various certifications from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. These certifications include a Leather Expert course in February 2012, a Knitwear Expert Course in July 2011, a Printing, Dyeing and Finishing course in June 2010, and a Fibre to Fabric course in April 2010. Furthermore, Ben received a Diploma in Professional Studies from Loughborough University in August 2008.
