Jacob L. Philipsen

Jacob L. Philipsen has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the technology and healthcare industries. Jacob L. is currently the CEO of Advalight, a company that manufactures and sells laser technology for skin treatments. Prior to this role, they served as a Board Member for OCTLIGHT, a company specializing in imaging technology for ophthalmic diagnostics. Jacob L. also co-founded and served as a Board Member for Norlase ApS, a company focused on laser technology.

In addition, Philipsen has held positions as a Board Member for RSP Systems, a company developing a non-invasive glucose monitor, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Danisense, a company specializing in current sensor technology. Jacob L. has also served in various advisory and board membership roles for the Technical University of Denmark.

Earlier in their career, Philipsen was the CEO of Flux A/S, a supplier of magnetics and power solutions, and Vice President & General Manager of the MEMS Division at Pulse Electronics. Jacob L. also served as President of Sonion MEMS and held the position of Deputy CEO at NKT Integration A/S.

Throughout their career, Philipsen has demonstrated a strong ability to lead and manage teams, secure funding, and drive innovation in the technology and healthcare sectors.

Jacob L. Philipsen began their education at Borupgaardskolen, where they completed their primary schooling from 1979 to 1987. Jacob L. then attended Espergærde Gymnasium for three years, from 1987 to 1990, for their high school education. Jacob pursued their higher education at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering, starting in 1990 and graduating in 1995. Jacob L. continued their education at DTU and obtained a Ph.D. in Integrated Optics for Telecommunications between 1995 and 1999. Additionally, in 2011, they attended the International Space University to complete the Executive Space Course.
