Sidsel Papior

Sidsel Papior has over 10 years of work experience in the field of optics. Sidsel began their career in 2010 as a Student Worker at Ibsen Photonics, where they measured the efficiency of telecom gratings in a class 10 cleanroom. In 2011, they moved to NKT Photonics A/S, where they designed and built optical measurements setup for characterization of optical fibers, as well as developed LabVIEW software for automation of an optical measurement setup. In 2012, they became a PHD Student at DTU Fotonik. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Chairwoman of the Danish Optical Society. In 2020, they began working as a Laser Engineer at Norlase.

Sidsel Papior began their educational journey in 2002 when they attended Birkerød Gymnasium and earned their Studentereksamen in Mathematics and Physics in 2005. Sidsel continued their studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, earning a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Nanotechnology in 2009. Sidsel then went on to complete a Master of Science in Engineering in Physics and Nanotechnology at DTU in 2011. Finally, in 2014 they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Optical Fibers from DTU.
