Robert Dell'Immagine has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Robert started their career as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard Company in 1986, where they conducted research on system management technologies. Robert designed, wrote, and tested a new network management product during their time there. After leaving HP in 1990, they joined Oracle Corporation as a Director. At Oracle, they built and managed the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) developer program, which grew to over 3 million registered developers. Robert also spearheaded marketing efforts that generated $30 million in quarterly sales leads through developer influence. Robert worked at Oracle until 2003.
In 2004, they moved to VMware as the Director of Community. Robert defined, launched, and grew VMware Communities to over 900,000 registered members and implemented programs to foster internal and external relationships. Robert left VMware in 2010.
Between 2010 and 2021, Robert joined Qualys as the Director of Web & Community. At Qualys, they created and built the Qualys Community, which had an average of 70,000 monthly visitors. Robert developed an online customer success environment that included discussion forums, training, documentation, support, a blog, and unified search. Robert was responsible for all aspects of the community program, from strategy definition to member engagement and infrastructure upgrades. Robert's tenure at Qualys lasted until 2021.
In 2021, Robert joined Upsolver as the Director of Community. During their time there, they played an instrumental role in building and managing the community. However, their tenure at Upsolver ended in 2022.
Most recently, in 2023, Robert started working for Normalyze as a Community Builder.
Robert Dell'Immagine has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Yale University, which they obtained from 1982 to 1986. Robert then pursued an MBA in Marketing from The Wharton School, completing it from 1990 to 1992.
