Sustainability Engineer at Normative

Carmine Piparo has worked in various roles in the field of sustainability engineering and business development since 2003. In 2021, they began working as a Sustainability Engineer for Normative.io. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Junior Business Developer at InnoEnergy, where they were part of the Iberian sales team and created and managed the initiative "Let's Talk Energy". In 2017, they volunteered as Staff for Projecto Marginal - Associação Cultural and also worked as a Workshop leader for InnoEnergy, presenting the idea of a smart house and giving participants the necessary tools to reduce household energy consumption. In 2016, they were part of the Entrepreneur in a Week program at CATÓLICA-LISBON | Executive Education, and in 2015, they were part of the Grand Challenge Project at InnoEnergy, the EIT Alumni Start Up Days at EIT Digital, and the Innovative Entrepreneurship program at AGH University of Science and Technology. Carmine Piparo has also worked as an employee for Piparo Nicola S.R.L. since 2003.

Carmine Piparo has a diverse education history. Carmine obtained a Maturità Scientifica from Liceo Scientifico in 2002-2007, a BSc in Chemical and Processes Engineering from Università degli Studi dell'Aquila in 2007-2013, a Introductory Crash Course in Entrepeneurship from Esade in 2016, and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2016-2018. Carmine also completed courses in Chemical Engineering Technology/Technician from Politecnico di Torino in 2014-2015 and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2015-2016. In addition, they have taken summer courses on English and local habits from 2005-2015, an Erasmus Project from University of Pardubice in 2011-2012, and an Erasmus Intesive Language Courses (EILC) from Czech Technical University in Prague in 2011. Carmine also completed an SFI C3 from Hermods AB in 2020-2021, a course in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from Uppsala University in 2021, and a course in Sustainability Studies from Blekinge Institute of Technology in 2021. Carmine has also obtained several certifications, including Iberdrola Challenge 2017 from InnoEnergy in 2017, CommUnity Representatives from InnoEnergy in 2017, IELTS Academic English Test 7.5 - C1 from British Council in 2015, A2 Ceco from Czech Technical University in Prague in 2011, First Certificate in English (FCE Cambridge) B2 from British Schools of English in 2006, and an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python from edX.
