Amar Bakshi is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in media, entrepreneurship, and international affairs. Currently serving as a Visiting Fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University and an Artist and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the MIT Media Lab, Bakshi co-founded Whose Future?, which focuses on digital equity in metaverse creator tools, and Noro, aimed at reducing travel through innovative technology. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shared_Studios, Bakshi has led initiatives to foster global communication. Previous roles include serving as Managing Editor at CNN, Special Assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and a reporter for The Washington Post, where significant work was done on identity and international perceptions of the U.S. Academically, Bakshi holds a JD from Yale Law School, a Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and an AB from Harvard University.
