A proponent of data-driven design, he’s on top of the latest research in industrial-organizational psychology and the positive affect it can have on workplace design. Scott’s Commercial Studio is using virtual reality to provide clients with walk-thrus of their space before it’s built to assist them in spatially understanding design intent, and moreover help their leadership make informed decisions regarding the final product.

Scott has also been a leader in local government for more than a decade, as he continues to serve and chair several city and county boards. For this reason, Scott can best identify the needs of current and future government and justice clients along with departmental stakeholders. Scott’s Public Buildings Studio has been instrumental in the resurgence and renaissance taking place in Detroit, Michigan as they partner to improve and preserve the inventory of government buildings and infrastructure.

Scott sought a career as diverse as his musical taste. The avid musician found that architecture was a great medium for self-expression. His range and scale are embodied both inside and outside of the office.
