Elyse Appelgate

Elyse Appelgate is a Senior Associate at Norris Design since September 2018, specializing in managing jurisdictional entitlements processes for developers and new-to-industry clients, designing site layouts for residential communities, and guiding design teams through project schedules. Previously, Elyse served as a Development Assistance Intern at the City of Lakewood, where responsibilities included zoning reviews and staff report writing. Experience also includes a role as a Research Assistant at Plan4Health, focusing on health-related planning indicators, and other positions that involved teaching, outreach, and project facilitation. Elyse holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and International Studies from Hastings College.
