Amilton Santos

Amilton Santos possesses extensive experience in engineering and maintenance management within the mining and aluminum production sectors. Currently serving as Senior Engineering and Maintenance Manager at Norsk Hydro since November 2014, Amilton is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and engineering of bauxite beneficiation plants, overseeing significant asset management and a large workforce. Previous roles include General Manager of Operation and Maintenance and General Manager of the Refinery at Norsk Hydro, where Amilton led teams of up to 340 personnel. Amilton also worked at Alcoa as Engineering and Maintenance Manager, AngloAmerican as General Maintenance Manager, and ALUMAR Consortium as Supervisor of Operation and Maintenance, focusing on productivity enhancement and cost reduction. Amilton holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UEMA - Universidade Estadual do Maranhão.
