Debhasish Bhakta

Debhasish Bhakta is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in GIS and data management. Currently serving as a Senior System Developer at Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA), Debhasish specializes in GIS database management, data analysis, and web mapping for various projects, including collaborations with the Norwegian Space Centre and the European Space Agency. Previously, as a Lead GIS Developer at GRID-Arendal, responsibilities included leading WebGIS application development, GIS data server management, and creating data visualization tools. Debhasish began a career at ISRO as a GIS Analyst, focusing on hydrological projects and geospatial data management. Debhasish holds a Master’s Degree in Geoinformatics from Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology.
