Gert J Schouten

Gert J Schouten is an experienced operation engineer currently working at Norsk Tipping since February 2018, focusing on Kafka middleware, event-driven architecture (EDA), and data streaming, while previously serving as a data engineer in Team Data. Prior to Norsk Tipping, Gert J Schouten worked at IBM from August 2013 to February 2018 as an IT architect within Application Innovation Services. Gert J Schouten's career began at the Ministerie van Defensie, serving as a Captain in the Royal Dutch Marines from August 2003 to August 2013. Gert J Schouten holds two Master of Science degrees in Business Process Management and IT, and Software Engineering from Open Universiteit, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management from the University of Groningen, and a qualification as a Royal Dutch Marines Officer from the Royal Dutch Navy Academy.
