Alvar Laid

Alvar Laid is an experienced software engineer currently serving as Lead Front-End Engineer at Nortal since June 2018. In this role, Alvar coordinates daily development work across US and Estonian timezones, supports recruitment by validating candidates, onboard new developers, and conducts weekly one-on-one meetings to ensure developers have a positive work experience and achieve their technical career goals. Prior to Nortal, Alvar worked at Tartu Herbert Masingu Kool from September 2011 to June 2018 as a Teacher and gained experience as a Frontend Developer and Junior Software Developer. Alvar is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Education at the University of Tartu, which remains unfinished.
