Marc E. Thornton

Marc E. Thornton, Ed.D., serves as the Principal of North Allegheny School District since January 2014, following prior leadership roles as Principal at Mt. Lebanon School District from August 2011 to January 2014 and at North Hills School District from August 1999 to August 2011. Marc E. Thornton also has experience as a Special Education Teacher. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Education Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh (2014-2017), a K-12 Principal Certification from PennWest California (2008-2009), a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from PennWest California (1996-1998), and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh (1992-1996).
