Matthew Heckmann

Matthew Heckmann, Ed.D., serves as the Principal of North Allegheny School District since August 2014, having previously held positions as Assistant Principal, Teacher, and Instructional Technology Integrator within the district. In addition to this role, Matthew contributes to the academic community as an Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University since January 2022 and previously at Eduspire from June 2017 to June 2020. Prior teaching experience includes a role at Fairfax County Public Schools from August 2013 to July 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Duquesne University, with an expected completion in August 2025, a K-12 Principal Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Instructional Technology from Duquesne University, and a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education from Duquesne University.
