CARLOS ACEVEDO, PE, MS, PMP

Carlos Acevedo, PE, MS, PMP has extensive experience in project management and environmental infrastructure development. CARLOS has served as a Senior Project Manager at the North American Development Bank since 2017. Previously, they worked at the Border Environment Cooperation Commission from 2013 to 2017, where they were responsible for identifying, developing, and certifying environmental infrastructure projects. CARLOS also managed and certified numerous projects related to water, wastewater, solid waste, and air pollution control at the same organization from 2002 to 2013. Prior to that, Carlos worked as a New Installation Coordinator at the Lower Valley Water District and as a Co-Owner and General Manager at IPESA, where they managed and designed various water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects. CARLOS began their career at Química Central de México, where they served as a Production Manager and Environmental and Occupational Safety Manager and successfully coordinated environmental projects and reduced the rate of work-related accidents. Carlos Acevedo holds a Professional Engineer (PE), Master of Science (MS), and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

Carlos Acevedo, PE, MS, PMP has a strong educational background in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering. CARLOS pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Guanajuato, graduating between the years 1981 to 1989. Prior to that, Carlos completed their Secondary School education at Instituto Guanajuato from 1978 to 1981. Later, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso, completing the program between 2000 and 2002.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Carlos has obtained two significant certifications. CARLOS is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute, which they achieved in March 2022. Furthermore, Carlos is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, which they acquired in September 2022.
