Salvador López Córdova has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Salvador started their career as a Project Manager at the Border Environment Cooperation Commission in 1998. Salvador then moved on to work as a Principal at Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. from 2002 to 2008, where they were responsible for managing water resources and engineering projects, as well as leading business development efforts.

In 2008, Salvador joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate, where they gained experience in consulting. Salvador worked on various projects and provided strategic advice to clients until 2010.

After their stint at McKinsey, Salvador worked as a Consultant from 2010 to 2012, where they provided expertise and advice to clients in various industries.

In 2012, Salvador joined the Global Green Growth Institute as a Country Manager. In this role, they were responsible for diffusing green growth in developing and emerging countries. Salvador held this position until 2017.

Currently, Salvador López Córdova is the Chief Environmental Officer at the North American Development Bank, a position they have held since 2017.

Salvador López Córdova completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1994. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and Science at Stanford University from 1994 to 1995. Later, Salvador enrolled at the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General, from 2006 to 2008.
