Senior Manager, Special Events Marketing at North American Veterinary Community (NAVC)

Emily DeMarco has a diverse work experience in event marketing and management. Emily currently holds the position of Senior Manager, Special Events Marketing at the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), where they are responsible for overseeing special events marketing. Prior to this, Emily owned and operated Boostcycle, a fitness studio, where they served as an owner and instructor.

Emily also gained valuable experience at CloserStill Media as a Marketing & Content Director, where they managed a team and executed marketing strategies for events and paid campaigns. Emily further developed their marketing skills at Reed Exhibitions US, where they held several roles including Director of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager, and Senior Marketing Associate. Emily successfully implemented and managed cross-platform marketing plans for trade shows and events, demonstrating their strong understanding of brand development, content marketing, and community building.

Earlier in their career, Emily worked as an Event Marketing Intern at Time Inc., assisting with the preparation of red carpet events and coordinating with vendors for executive gifts. Emily also gained hands-on experience as a Marketing and Promotions Intern at SMG and as a Sales/Game Day Intern at the South Carolina Stingrays, where they marketed games to the college audience, increased group ticket sales, and participated in game day activities.

Emily DeMarco attended Newtown High School from 2005 to 2009, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Subsequently, they went on to study at the College of Charleston from 2009 to 2012. At the College of Charleston, Emily earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree, specializing in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
