Emily Shapiro is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in public relations, event coordination, and educational support. Currently serving as an Associate Publicist at North Atlantic Books since May 2019, Emily also coordinates national tours for Pop-Up Magazine, where responsibilities include venue booking and managing events for large audiences. Previous roles include Sales Assistant at California Sunday Inc., Research Assistant at WestEd, and Editorial Assistant at Zoetrope: All-Story. Additionally, Emily has experience as an SAT Tutor and Educational Coordinator with AmeriCorps VISTA, along with volunteering as a Coordinator at Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Written Arts from Bard College and is pursuing studies at the University of Havana.
