Jerry Hughes

Mr. Hughes is President and founding member of Compass IT Compliance, LLC and has over 25 years of experience in the compliance and regulatory arenas. His experience includes work with industry guidelines such as PCI-DSS, and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, FFIEC, FERPA, and GLBA. Mr. Hughes holds various certifications including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). He has extensive IT auditing experience—especially within the financial industry and the retail sector—and has participated in hundreds of PCI and financial industry risk assessments and audits. Mr. Hughes is a frequent speaker at conventions and industry events and is digitally published. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island and received a Master’s Degree in Project Management from George Washington University.
