Barbara Parkinson

Barbara Parkinson has a strong background in accounting and finance. Barbara began their career in 1995 as a Divisional Financial Controller at Weldwood of Canada, where they oversaw accounting functions and assisted with the sale of the operation. In 1997, they started their own accounting firm, offering services such as income tax, financial statement preparation, and bookkeeping. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Collins Barrow - Sudbury - Nippissing LLP. Since 2010, they have been working as an Accountant at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.

Barbara Parkinson graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting in the years 1981-1985. In November 1991, they obtained additional certifications as a CPA, CMA from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
