Shannon Mantha has a diverse work experience in the healthcare sector. Shannon began their career as a Registered Nurse at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in 2000, where they worked until 2004. In 2004, they joined the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit as a Public Health Nurse and held this role until 2010. Shannon then transitioned to the position of Program Manager, where they worked until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, Shannon served as the Executive Director of Community Services at the health unit. Currently, they hold the role of Executive Director of Clinical Services/Chief Nursing Officer, which they started in 2021. Shannon's extensive experience in nursing and leadership positions highlights their knowledge and expertise in the healthcare industry.

Shannon Mantha obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Science from Queen's University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Shannon later pursued a Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Primary Health Care at the University of Ottawa, completing their studies from 2002 to 2005.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Shannon Mantha has also attained additional certifications. In March 2022, they obtained a Certificate in Privacy Law and Information Management in Healthcare from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School. Furthermore, in February 2019, they received a LEAN Yellow Belt certification from Leading Edge Group.
