Chelsea R. Johnson, M.S., currently serves as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Science Foundation, focusing on the fabrication of novel composites for bone tissue engineering applications. Since August 2019, Chelsea has also been a Computer Lab Assistant at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, providing technical support to engineering students and overseeing facility usage. Additionally, Chelsea has worked as a STEM Mentor to enhance student learning experiences. As a Graduate Nanoengineering Student at the Joint School of Nanoscience & Nanoengineering from January 2024 to May 2025, Chelsea is furthering education in the field. Previous research experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Children's National Hospital, where Chelsea gained valuable insights into public health through practical research applications. Chelsea holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, earned in December 2023.
