Marcy Gardner

Marcy Gardner is currently serving as the Communications & Social Media Specialist for the North Carolina Community College System since January 2023. With extensive experience in social media management and content creation, Marcy previously held the position of Content & Social Media Coordinator at Durham Technical Community College from December 2016 to January 2023. As the owner of Simply Hooked, LLC, starting in October 2012, Marcy specializes in designing beginner-friendly crochet patterns for amigurumi and lovey blankets. Marcy's background also includes roles as a Grant Writer & Researcher for One Degree Impact and Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc, focusing on grant proposals and non-profit research. Additional experience involves working as the Executive Assistant/Grants Coordinator for the Patriots Point Development Authority and as a Grant Writer for the South Carolina Maritime Heritage Foundation. Marcy Gardner earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of South Carolina between 2004 and 2008.
