Shanita Washington-Ray, MPA, serves as the Employee Relations Manager at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources since April 2017, overseeing employee grievances and providing management recommendations. With a background in policy development and procedural adherence, Shanita has held various roles, including Employee Relations Consultant and ER Program Administrator at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, Shanita is the owner and president of Figure8ight, Inc., a boutique for fuller-figured women, established in 2015. Shanita's extensive experience spans human resources support, disaster recovery coordination, and paralegal work, complemented by advanced education including a Master in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University and a Master Certification in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
