Julie Marks

Julie Marks serves as the Director of Evaluation at the Education Policy Initiative at Carolina since March 2011, with a history of roles including Senior Research Associate and Research Associate. In addition, Julie has contributed as Adjunct Faculty in Education Policy, Leadership, and School Improvement at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since August 2015. Leadership roles include President of the Board of Directors at North Carolina Cyber Academy and Chair of the Academic Excellence Committee. Julie is also a Fellow at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise's CREATE Prosperity Research Lab. Previous experience includes serving as Principal Associate at Constella Group and Associate Director of Public Private Partnerships at the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Julie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University.
