Cathy

Cathy Ma has extensive work experience in various roles related to international marketing and sales. Cathy currently works as the Assistant Director of International Marketing at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In this role, they focus on promoting the exports of NC row crops and meat products. In the past, they have also worked on the exports of processed foods, pork, poultry, seafood, and beverages. Cathy'sprimary responsibilities include establishing and maintaining customer relationships with local agricultural suppliers, planning and implementing agricultural trade programs, conducting international market research, and connecting NC farmers and food producers with international buyers.

Prior to their current role, Cathy worked as a Marketing Specialist at Beswick Engineering Co., Inc. from 2003 to 2006. Cathy also gained experience at RR Donnelley China Branch, where they held various positions such as Sales and Market Promotion Manager from 1998 to 2001, and Sales/Marketing Representative/Production Facilitator/Quality Assurance Supervisor from 1990 to 1998.

Cathy Ma obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Arkansas in 2002. Cathy then pursued an Accounting Certificate at Great Bay Community College from 2002 to 2003. Recently, in 2021, Cathy completed a Digital Media & Marketing Course at Duke University Continuing Study.
