Madeline Lea

Madeline Lea possesses a strong legal background with extensive experience in public assistance and Medicaid investigations, currently serving as Assistant Attorney General at the NC Department of Justice since April 2016. Prior to this role, Madeline held positions at Ally Financial Inc. as an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator and completed multiple internships, including at the Wake County Public Defender's Office, North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services, North Carolina Governor's Clemency Office, and the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York's Civil Rights Bureau. Madeline earned a Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, along with French, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
