Tejas Desai M.D.

Tejas Desai, MD, MBA, serves as the Medical Lead for Special Projects and Director of the US Difelikefalin Dialysis Program at CSL Vifor, where Desai has been recognized with the 2023 Apex Award and manages assets in the Nephrology and Dialysis spaces. Since May 2013, Desai has also contributed as a Medical Reviewer for the North Carolina Medical Board, focusing on malpractice cases in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. Additional roles include Teaching Faculty at AcademicCME, Medical Director for the Charlotte Outpatient Dialysis Unit at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and content creation for Medscape. With previous leadership in various medical and educational roles, including Principal at NOD Analytics and Board Member at AstraZeneca, Desai has a strong background in nephrology education and research. Desai holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and has completed extensive medical training, including positions as Chief Resident and Fellowship Program Director at reputable institutions.
