Laura Napolitano is an accomplished editor and art historian with extensive experience in museum and academic settings. Currently serving as the Editor and Manager of Book Publishing at the North Carolina Museum of Art since January 2021, Laura has also provided freelance editorial services since 2018, working with various institutions and editing manuscripts for the Asian art journal Artibus Asiae. Previous roles include curatorial positions at the Carpenter Museum and guest curator engagements, as well as fellowships and research positions at several prominent institutions, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Laura holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Maryland, an MA from Williams College, an AB from Bowdoin College, and a Professional Studies Certificate in Copyediting from Emerson College.
