Jason Compton

Jason Compton is a seasoned professional in public safety IT and emergency communications, currently serving as a Public Safety IT Architect at the Wake County Sheriff's Office since February 2023. Compton has held various roles throughout a dynamic career, including IT Security Analyst at Wake County and IT System Administrator for Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and 9-1-1 Systems at the Wake County Sheriff's Office. Compton is also the President and Executive Board Member of the North Carolina chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), actively involved in several committees and national positions aiming to improve 9-1-1 services. Compton's previous experience includes board membership at the North Carolina Association of Public Safety Communications Officials and significant roles within the City of Raleigh Municipal Government. Compton is an alumnus of North Carolina State University.
