Kathryn Marker has a Ph.D. in Education Research and Policy Analysis from North Carolina State University. Kathryn has served as Director of Grants, Training and Outreach at the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority, Associate Director for K12 Programs, K-12 Specialist, and Instructor at North Carolina State University. Prior to that, Kathryn was a teacher at the Wake County Public School System and President of HealthTEK of North Carolina, Inc. Kathryn also holds a Master's degree in French and Linguistics from Georgia State University and Bachelor's degrees in French and Secondary Education from Miami University.

As the state agency that promotes access to education in North Carolina, we help students of all ages pay for their education. Our collaborative, College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), assists thousands of students each year plan, apply and pay for college. We also provide resources for students and families to save and pay for education, teach educators how to navigate financial aid programs, administer student grant, scholarship and loan programs, and advocate for resources to support students of all ages.
