Caitlin McCann is a PhD student and Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University since August 2025, focusing on woody ornamental genetics under Dr. Hsuan Chen. Previously, Caitlin served as a Graduate Research Assistant in Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics at The University of Georgia from August 2023 to August 2025, working with Dr. Dario Chavez. Caitlin's experience includes a Seeds Operations Internship at Syngenta in 2023, where leadership of seasonal employees in tissue sampling operations was a highlight.
