Haiyan Teng

Haiyan Teng is an accomplished atmospheric scientist currently serving as the NCICS Associate Director at North Carolina State University since September 2024. Previously, Haiyan Teng held the position of Staff Scientist and Climate and Atmosphere Process Domain Lead at Berkeley Lab from October 2022 to May 2024. Prior experience includes serving as an Earth Scientist and Team Lead at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from August 2020 to September 2022, and working at the National Center for Atmospheric Research from April 2004 to August 2020 as both a Project Scientist and Associate Scientist. Haiyan Teng holds a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Physics and Dynamics from Peking University and a PhD in Climate Dynamics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
