North Carolina Symphony
Richard Hess is a seasoned communications and audience services professional with extensive experience in the performing arts and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as Communications Project Manager at North Carolina Symphony since September 2012, Richard is responsible for coordinating electronic and print communications to support various organizational initiatives. Prior roles include Special Projects Coordinator at The Blotter Magazine, Inc., Donor Relations Manager at Practical Business Solutions LLC, and multiple positions at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and Carolina Theatre of Durham, where Richard developed skills in customer service, fundraising, and strategic planning. Educational background includes studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1986 to 1996.
North Carolina Symphony
The North Carolina Symphony is a full-time, professional orchestra with its home in Raleigh, North Carolina's spectacular Meymandi Concert Hall. The symphony performs about 175 concerts a year in the Triangle and greater North Carolina.
