Mark Wright

Mark Wright is a Senior Supply Chain Manager with BioDelivery Sciences International. Mark is responsible for the management and coordination of all supply chain activities from API/raw materials procurement to finished goods delivery. This spans 5 products (3 in the U.S., 2 international), totaling 23 SKU’s.

Mark has also been responsible for initiating, coordinating, and leading monthly S&OP meetings with senior and executive teams to report the level of demand plan accuracy while providing real time supply and demand updates, pertinent financials, market trends, etc. Mark reconciles and procures API and components monthly, necessary to execute production driven by the demand plan.

In addition, Markidentifies, evaluates, and assists in selection of alternate suppliers, manufacturers, and packagers as well as leads all project management and validation support initiatives. Mark works with Quality Assurance to review and approve change controls, deviations, protocols, batch records, etc. ensuring accuracy and compliance with cGMP standards. And they collaborate with Finance on a monthly basis to harmonize the demand plan with forecasts and actuals to update the organization’s Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows for robust and accurate reporting to executive team for use in quarter/year-end publicly published financial statements.

As a result of their leadership roles in identifying process improvements and evaluating all aspects of the supply chain, they have increased the gross margin by reducing COGs an average of ~40%,

Mark Wright's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University - The Max M. Fisher College of Business, with a focus in Logistics Management, Operations Management, and Marketing. Mark is also certified by APICS as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
