Spencer Ziegler is an experienced educator with a comprehensive background in performance assessment and instructional facilitation, currently serving in multiple roles within the Wake County Public School System since August 2012. Responsibilities include designing professional development for over 100 staff members, integrating technology into instructional practices, and providing resources for educators. Spencer has also contributed as a Course Revisionist for the North Carolina Virtual Public School, focusing on aligning online AP US History curriculum with educational principles. As an Educational Consultant for Activate Good, Spencer developed community service curricula and worked with local nonprofits. Prior experience includes teaching diverse middle school students in Hudson Public Schools and delivering a science curriculum at the University of North Carolina Morehead Planetarium. NC Virtual provides students with expanded academic options by offering online courses (AP, Honors, World Languages, etc.), online services such as test preparation, career planning services, credit recovery, and online college courses to North Carolina students. By virtue of our online course delivery, students from all areas of our state will now have access to courses and highly qualified teachers in subjects that they may not have available at their local schools.
