North Carolina Zoo
Kelly Tardif is an experienced veterinary technician with a diverse background in animal care and conservation biology. Currently serving at the North Carolina Zoo since June 2018, Kelly assists in medical procedures, manages quarantine and hospitalized animals, and participates in operant conditioning training. Prior to this role, Kelly worked at The Elephant Sanctuary as an elephant caregiver and veterinary technician, overseeing the care of Asian and African elephants. Additional experience includes roles at Camp Bow Wow, the University of Connecticut as a graduate teaching assistant, and various internships related to animal care and research. Kelly holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology, a Master of Science in Conservation Biology, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology.
