Laura Trantham is an experienced professional in horticultural science with a focus on plant maintenance and grounds management. Currently serving as North America Grounds Supervisor II and Horticulturist at North Carolina Zoo since July 2021, Laura oversees the operations of two tropical plant greenhouses, including plant propagation, fertilization, and environmental monitoring. Previous experience includes a role as Project Manager at Turf Teacher, Inc., where Laura developed continuing education content for pesticide applicators, and as Farm Manager at Go Farm Hemp, where responsibilities included managing interns and payroll. Laura holds an Associate of Science degree in Horticultural Science from Forsyth Technical Community College, completed between 2017 and 2019.
