North Carolina Zoo
Whitney Bishop is an experienced animal care professional with a diverse background in zoological and marine environments. Currently serving as a Zookeeper at North Carolina Zoo since November 2021, Whitney previously worked as an Animal Care Associate at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park from March 2019 to October 2021. Additional experience includes roles as a PADI Dive Master at Mission Beach Dive in Australia from June 2017 to September 2018 and as an Animal Welfare Specialist II and Intern at Coral World Ocean Park from June 2011 to August 2016. Whitney began a career in animal care as a Kennel Attendant/Vet Assistant at Springfield Animal Hospital from September 2006 to January 2011. Whitney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoo Science from Friends University, obtained between 2007 and 2011.
