Maddy Nave Tortelli is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at North Central College since January 2024. Prior to this role, Maddy worked as an Occupational Therapist at Elgin Mental Health Center from June 2020 to November 2023, focusing on the forensic rehabilitation department, and at Glantz and Richman Rehab Associates from September 2019 to June 2020. Maddy completed a doctoral experience component at The Lantern of Saybrook in early 2019, conducting research with clients diagnosed with dementia. Additionally, Maddy gained field experience as a Level II Fieldwork Student at Mercy Medical Center and Utah State Hospital in 2018, with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation and forensic occupational therapy services. Earlier experience includes serving as a Teacher's Assistant at Drake University and as a caregiver at HomeChoice Senior Care. Maddy holds an Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Drake University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Human Occupation Studies from Xavier University.
