Michael Whay is an experienced stage technician and audio-visual specialist with a diverse background in live event production and multimedia. Since August 2004, Michael has been employed as a Stage Technician at Spoleto Festival USA, where responsibilities include set and prop carpentry, painting, fabrication, and stage electrical work. Concurrently, Michael has held roles as a Camera Specialist and Stage Technician at the North Charleston Coliseum and Gaillard Performance Hall Foundation since January 2004, focusing on general stagecraft, electrics, and audio-visual presentations. Michael served as Corresponding Secretary for IATSE 333 from January 2017 to January 2023, managing important documentation and communications for the local office. Additionally, experience as a Web Content Editor for Streaming-TV and a Photographer for GradImages rounds out Michael's extensive skill set. Michael holds an Associate's Degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Trident Technical College.
