Laura Kondor

Laura Kondor is an accomplished fire safety professional with extensive experience in various leadership and educational roles within the fire service. Currently serving as Fire Safety Coordinator/Captain at North Charleston Fire Department since May 2017, Laura has also held positions as a Fire and Life Safety Educator. Previous roles include Peer Mentor and Educator with the S.C. State Firefighters' Association and the Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team, focusing on emotional health and well-being for firefighters and their families. Laura co-founded the Women Firefighters of the Lowcountry to foster community among women in the fire service. Additional experience encompasses positions as a part-time firefighter and project management in design and maintenance. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Studio Art from Salem College and has also studied at the Lorenzo de' Medici Art Institute in Florence.
