North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP)
Jessie Pike is an experienced educator and administrator, currently serving as the Director of Student Learning Programs for North Chicago Community Partners since September 2022. Previous roles include Senior Manager at Oregon State University, where Jessie facilitated online learning and managed academic success workshops, and Instructor for Anthropology 330. Jessie also held various positions at Oregon State University, including Academic Success Center Outreach Specialist and Graduate Teaching Assistant, and served as Hall Director at Carthage College, overseeing community development for a large undergraduate residence. Jessie began professional experience as an English Teaching Assistant with The Fulbright Program in Taiwan and has strong foundational experience from earlier roles at Carthage College. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Arts in multiple languages and Asian Studies from Carthage College.

North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP)
North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP) was founded in 2008 in direct response to the lack of outside support for the academic challenges facing the children of North Chicago. In Illinois, schools in low-income communities are massively underfunded – but their students need the same supportive services as students in wealthier communities in order to succeed. In North Chicago, that kind of support is available through NCCP. For more than ten years, the organization has leveraged the resources of the broader community to provide a menu of programs and services that complement classroom instruction and enhance student learning. NCCP’s work brings together a range of people to help support its unique “community school” model. In this model, NCCP partners with schools to offer after school enrichment and extended learning opportunities for all students, support teachers, engage parents in the education of their children, and provide opportunities for family learning. NCCP also plays an invaluable role in mobilizing resources to transform public schools in North Chicago.
